Product Description/Purpose
The ISB model 1050 plough share mixer can be supplied made from mild or stainless steel. There is also a choice of variable or fixed speed drives, these may be mechanically, electrically or hydraulically controlled. The raw materials are fed into the mixing chamber through the top. Efficient mixing action is carried out by the ploughs by moving the product from one end of the mixing chamber to the other turning and throwing at the same time. The ploughs run with a close tolerance to the mixing chamber wall, this helps to stop a build up of material. Sometimes with difficult to disperse products, such as colours, one or more high speed cutters are fitted, the product is moved by the ploughs over the cutters and is finely dispersed.
SPECIFICATION
- Power supply - 415v and neutral
- Volume - 250L upto 5000L
OPERATION
Before the mixer is loaded the timers for the main ploughs and cutters are set (if installed). Once this is carried out the plough motor is started and if fitted to the required selected speed on the variable speed drive unit. The materials are now put into the mixer and mixed for the required time. At any time during the mixing cycle the plough speed can be adjusted and the cutters turned on or off . When the product is mixed it is discharged through the outlet valve.
MAINTENANCE
The ISB 1050 plough share is easy to maintain, the bearings and seals require regular greasing and servicing and as for general cleaning down of the mixing chamber, access is gained in seconds by removing the interlock key from the control panel releasing the clamps and opening the mixing chamber access door.
