Product Description/Purpose
The ISB model 225 dual action change pan mixer is designed for mixing of pastes and thick liquids. There is a set of outer scraper blades that move the product from the side of the mixing pan and into the path of the inner blade. The outer blade rotates at a slower speed than the inner mixing blade. The inner blade revolves close to the bottom of the mixing pan and close to the outer blade, this helps mixing by giving a shearing action between the two sets of blades Both sets of blades are variable speeds this is by using a hydraulic drive and are completely independent of each other. To commence mixing the head is lifted using hydraulic cylinders to get the mixing pan underneath. Once in place it is held in position by two clamps. The ISB 225 dual action change pan mixer will mix batches up to 180 litres and may be used in conjunction with an ISB pressout to discharge product from the mixing pans.
OPERATION
Most of the raw materials are put into the mixing pan before it is put into the mixer, once the pan is secured in the mixer the head is lowered and any additions fed in through the loading chute. The mixer is now started and the speed selected by moving the levers on the panel and reading the tachometers. The speed of the blades can be adjusted at any time during the mixing operation.

MAINTENANCE
This is carried out by regularly greasing the mixer and changing the oil and filters in the hydraulic unit.
