Product Description/Purpose
The ISB 680 hopper discharge stand is used usually in conjunction with an ISB powder filling machine. The filling machine is sited in the hopper stand under the hopper. The ISB 680 discharge stand is used to free up the mixer by allowing the operator to drop the mix into a hopper and then commence the next mix. The mix that has just been discharged into a hopper can be either put into the hopper discharge stand for packing or put into storage for packing later. This gives more flexible production.
SPECIFICATION
- Air supply - 7-10 cfm
- Dimensions - D1200mm - W1200mm - H 2500mm
OPERATION
The gate on the back of the ISB 680 hopper discharge stand is opened and the full hopper placed into the stand, once in, the gate is closed and the pneumatic system becomes live. The hopper connection plate is pneumatically lifted up to the hopper discharge valve and seals against the valve. The slide valve on the hopper is now opened and product should flow into the filling machine. If the product does not flow it can be encouraged by switching on the air pads or using the bridge breaker. When there is little product left in the hopper the vibrator may be used to get out the residue. When the hopper is ready to be removed the hopper connection plate is lowered and the gate opened (even if the operator forgets to lower the plate it will lower automatically when the gate is opened). The stand is now ready for the next hopper.
MAINTENANCE
The ISB 680 is easy to maintain and the only maintenance is keeping the compressed air supply clean, dry and lubricated and general lubrication of the hinges and clamps.
